Want to print some bones for Halloween?

So, I came across a Jack Skellington pumpkin lamp on Thingiverse. Not really wanting to do a bunch of post-processing on it, I decided against using some generic white filament. I looked around and found my new favorite options.

For a natural, matte look: eSUN Matte Light Khaki (1.75mm, 1kg)

I opted to use the Matte Light Khaki for the lamp that I ended up printing for a family friend. I used a Creality K1C with good results. I sliced in Orca, using tree supports. Thankfully, they released very cleanly. The color skews a tiny bit toward yellow-green (as you might expect with something with “khaki” in the name), but I think it looks great (pictured).

For a bleached, semigloss look: eSUN PLA Pro Bone White (1.75mm, 1kg)

I got a spool of the Bone White, in case the Matte Light Khaki didn’t work out. For what it’s worth, I do think it looks more like what people think of when they picture cleaned and prepared bones. That wasn’t the look I was going for with Jack Skellington, though.

If you want either of those filaments, please click through the links above. It won’t cost you any more, but it will give me a tiny bit through the Amazon Affiliate program. Thanks!
